- 3 months for mascara (due to bacteria growing because of exposure of air)
- clean brushes after each use (and deep clean them once a week)
- a green tinted concealer/foundation will minimize the redness of a zit
- try not to match your make up too much with what you are wearing
- always wash your hands before washing your face
- when using false lashes, always stretch them out to avoid stiffness
- no eye concealer/base? foundation works to keep eyeshadow colour vivid
- use a brush for eyeshadow, the sponge applicator is harsher for the eye
- always take your make-up off before sleeping

if you think about it…cake decorating is almost like mixed media art. my first class is on wednesday and I am planning on posting a photo of my new found skills soon after that!
