Life Lesson #6

21 Jun

Empathy
n. (ěm’pə-thē)
1. Direct identification with, understanding of, and vicarious experience of another person’s situation, feelings, and motives.
2. The action of understanding, being aware of, being sensitive to, and vicariously experiencing the feelings, thoughts, and experience of another of either the past or present without having the feelings, thoughts, and experience fully communicated in an objectively explicit manner

empathy is one of the most wonderful things someone can have.

think about what a beautiful place this world would be…
if everyone was able to stop for a second,
and step into someone else’s shoes,
and see through someone else’s eyes.
it’s a different world on the other side…
and there would be no war.
and there would be no suffering.

empathy builds love,

To Speak. To Love. To Speak Love.

22 May

it’s not that i’m not brave enough to open up my heart and show you everything.
it’s just that you don’t want to see and you don’t care to look.

it’s not that i don’t wanna tell you.
it’s just that you’re not interested in listening.

i’m sorry too

Tu Me Manques

16 Apr

into the daRk stillness of the nIght i whisPer…
i miss you

for the past five years i’ve remembered april 16th.
your departure has undoubtedly left the most profound effect on me. the immense kindness you’ve shown me the short time i’ve known you, i keep it with me always. and i remember your smile.

on a nice day and the sun is shining brightly and a gentle breeze sweeps by. i feel your presence, like you’re right there smiling at me and guiding me along.
at night when i look up to a sky full of stars, i know one of them is you, twinkling like the star you are and looking down on me.

in my heart. you’re always my god-daddy.
n’oubliez jamais.
- W.
