A girls night out with my beautiful friends Hilda and Janna celebrating being young and single. It was a wild night with endless bottles, and then the “I am never drinking that much again” incident on the way home. Regardless of what happened, it was an epic night to remember mes amis!

Meet Toby. He is my little fur ball who enjoys playing fetch and waking you up in the early morning (sometimes he jabs you with his paw) with his meows. All Toby does during the summer is sleep out on the patio, even when it is much cooler indoors. Oh, how I give to have his lazy hazy days!

-glamour and fashion. love and friendship.
-awesome flick to catch with your best girlfriends.
Karate Kid: ★★★★
-xiao dre (will smith’s son) is really cute, awesome little actor, very impressive.
-jackie chan is one cool maintenance man.
Toy Story 3 (3D): ★★★★★
-for little kids and big kids too.
-hits the soft spot right on.
Despicable Me (3D): ★★★
-agnes: “it’s so fluffy i’m gonna die!”
-judith: cute blondie with a pink hat that’s into death and destruction, how adorable is that?
-margo: the wonderful older sister.
-the minoins are cute, but plot is kind of weak.
Grown Ups: ★★★
-chris rock and adam sandler = toilet humour.
-sweet at times, basically a good laugh, but of course not much substance.

Some BEAUTY Tips

3 months for mascara (due to bacteria growing because of exposure of air)
clean brushes after each use (and deep clean them once a week)
a green tinted concealer/foundation will minimize the redness of a zit
try not to match your make up too much with what you are wearing
always wash your hands before washing your face
when using false lashes, always stretch them out to avoid stiffness
no eye concealer/base? foundation works to keep eyeshadow colour vivid
use a brush for eyeshadow, the sponge applicator is harsher for the eye
always take your make-up off before sleeping

There are more novels I want to get my hands on, but for now this seems like a good amount to start with. All I have to do is stop by a book store and pick up a few on my list; then enjoy it in the comfort of an air conditioned home (since there is a heatwave outside) on a comfy couch.

SURPRISE SUPRISE BIRTHDAY GIRL

Today is one of my best friend’s birthday (Anna), and she is spending it with her family. Us girlies (Andrea, Christina, Hilda, Winnie, and I) will see her coming Friday to celebrate with a post birthday bash. Anna is finally legal to order her own drinks, without worrying about being card and underage.

While wrapping all of Anna’s presents to the nines, I can imagine her struggling to open each and every single one. I have always loved gift wrapping…so I tend to go overboard at times. I use tissue paper to wrap each item, and then double sided tape to secure each open flap, then I top it all off with tightly wrapping ribbon around it.

Little does she know, the first item (pictured in front of the bag) contains more goodies inside that need to be unwrapped. It is all make-up related items, while the other part of her gifts are jewellery based. At the end of the day Anna will love everything!

Haagen Dazs

i have a friend that absolutely worships Haagen Dazs.
just recently she told me (while looking at the tub of HD in her hand) “it’s like my friend…we’ve established a strong loving relationship”

one night while i was rummaging through my kitchen for my late night snack, i happened to walk by the stack of fliers near my kitchen table, and for some reason, i just picked up the one sitting on top. and i saw that my local grocery store was having HD icecream for sale for less than half price. i knew this must be fate because i never look at my fliers, and the sale was starting the next day. it’s a sign!

so of course the first thing i did was let my friend know.
and our conversation went something like this::

“omg i have to tell you something that will change your life forever!!!”
“what?”
“HD is on sale at price chopper for 3 dollars!”
“WHAT? REALLY? when does it start?”
“yea! it starts…um…TOMORROW!”
“ok we’re going to price chopper tomorrow ^^”

and this is the relationship most of the female population has with Haagen Dazs.

THOSE DRINKS WITH BENEFITS

Milk is a great drink that will definitely benefit for the long run in the future. The main reason is that it makes your bones stronger because of the calcium. Along with that, milk also has important vitamins such as A and D, with lots of muscle-building protein. The same goes for chocolate milk as well – except it has caffeine and refined sugar in it. If you plan on drinking some, go for lower fat options like 1% or skim.

Soy Milk is an excellent alternative if you happen to be lactose intolerant. It provides vitamin E, but it is less in saturated fat than cow’s milk. If you plan to go for this option, look for brands that offer calcium along with vitamins A and D. As for flavoured types, be warned though, it may contain sugar to make the drink sweeter.

Water is essential to everyone because it helps flush away toxins stored in your body. It is calorie-free and a perfect way to get fluids your body needs. The old saying, “drink eight cups of water daily” needs to be taken to heart seriously. It may seem like a lot of liquid, but your body need fluids.
